It has been a little while since my last post. I have been incredibly busy! I'm in the middle of making sure everything is all set up for the hubby and I to move to California. There is alot of paperwork that needs to be filled out correctly and because I'm married and not traveling alone there is even more to get sorted out. The only difficult part is that for each document that needs to be filled it out it seems that I need to go to a different office, a different building or make a different appointment. It's frustrating because I'm not told this until I am at one office and then they send me somewhere else for another document. I just wish I had a list of everything and I could just get it all done it one day, but it is taking several days because I cross one thing off my list and two more show up in its place. *Sigh* I guess I just have to keep thinking that it will all get worked out.
I also need to remember that any frustration I feel will all be whist away on my honeymoon in two weeks!!! My husband and I are finally going to take our honeymoon right before we go to California. We are headed to DISNEY WORLD!!!! We are only 7 hours away so we will be taking a roadtrip down there and spending an entire week in Orlando. :) We plan on doing one park per day but also have park hopper passes so we can switch to another park in the same day if we choose. We are the kind of couple that just likes to go and have fun, walk around and just do what we feel like when we feel like doing it. So I'm really excited to walk around the parks and just see what catches our eye. Another great thing about this honeymoon is that my husband has never been to Disney World or Universal Studios. I'm thrilled that I get to be the one to go with him for his first experience. He is going to be the best partner for this vacation. He loves rides like I do, enjoys walking around, and seeing everything that can possibly be seen. Our honeymoon is going to be much needed because we tend to work opposite schedules all the time so we have had a limited time spent together. There were many days when we only saw each other at night when one was already asleep, but that's how the real world works sometimes. It just makes us appreciate our time together even more. :)
We started looking at townhomes and houses in San Diego. It makes me even more excited to see what kind of place we could possibly be living in. We have found some nice ones and I can't believe that I will actually get to live in a house. I have lived in an apartment for the last 6 years and a house will be so nice!! We will have a yard where our dog can run, multiple bedrooms for a possibly baby in the future or any guests who visit, a full living room, with new furniture and a full kitchen!! We have been living in an apartment with no furniture other than our bed because we knew we would only be in Pensacola for a short time and didn't want to move more stuff. I will feel so much like a wife getting to pick out new furniture, put up holiday decorations and cook meals in the kitchen. I can't wait for it to feel so homey! I also can't wait for all there is to do in San Diego; concerts, shopping, zoo, sea world, legoland, beaches, LA and Hollywood an hour away and Vegas 5 hours away. It will be a great experiance!
Just need to get through the next two weeks.......
As I become a new wife I take on a whole new set of adventures.....with another person. This will be a way for those adventures to not be forgotten. :)

I Lost My Pinterest Virginity!!
So it wasn't too long ago that I started hearing this weird word. Pinterest. Pinterest? What does that mean? Well I soon found out that that particular word had the power to change my life. Yes, that's right! Change my life! Instead of consuming majority of my spare time on Facebook, I discovered something more productive to do with my time; exploring all the projects that other people are doing. I immediately got sucked into this pinning world and came to realize that majority of the people on Pinterest didn't actually do much of the things that they were pinning. It was almost like their boards were full of hopes and "if onlys" instead of something that they would actually do. I made the decision very early on that I was not going to be one of those people. I am a new wife and will be moving into a new house soon and really want to have decoration ideas, tips and tricks, new recipes and ideas on how to dress my age (I am commonly mistaken for a 17 year old all the time). After establishing myself within this Pinterest society I mustered up the courage and followed through on my goal is actually doing the things I was seeing.
I made Pizza Crescent Rolls!! They were so good and incredibly easy!!
All you need is crescent rolls, pepperonis, pizza sauce and string cheese. You can add any other pizza toppings you wish but if they are too full it may be difficult to roll up. You just lay the crescent rolls out so they are triangles, place pizza sauce (which is optional because the sauce gets a little messy when trying to roll them up), pepperonis and the string cheese on the large end of the crescent roll.
I got a little creative (very little) and thought that ham with swiss cheese would be a good try. So I made a few with ham and swiss cheese.
Roll 'em up!!!
Bake in the oven according to the crescent roll package.
These were very easy and they only needed to cook in the oven for about 10 minutes or so. Hubby and I enjoyed dipping them in ranch. I would definitely make these again and maybe come up with other combination of meet and cheese to put in. My first Pinterest attempt and it was a great success!! I already have other crafts and recipes lined up for me to try.

Here Comes the Sun
This week has been insanely busy. It has been one of those weeks where the work never ends, there is always something to get done and when one thing finally gets done 3 more tasks come up in its place. Thank goodness it is Friday tomorrow and a weekend of relaxation and football with my husband is within arms reach.
Among all the paperwork at work for getting married, changing my name, new rules being implemented and horrific dentist appointments a little light has shown through at the end of this very long tunnel I've been in. In the beginning of the week I got to pick my new set of orders. Being the top of my class I got first pick and I knew exactly where I wanted to go....San Diego!!! That's right, my husband and I will be moving to sunny California in the middle of November. We couldn't be more excited!! I am definitely nervous to start a new job in a completely brand new place, but this is the type of adventure that I signed up for and I feel completely ready to take on any challenge that comes along with this adventure. All the daunting tasks I have endured while being in Florida have now become worth it. The Hubby and I have felt like Florida was just temporary and struggled a little bit with making it feel like home, but we feel refreshed to be given a nice clean start in San Diego where we will no longer be living in an apartment, can buy new furniture, decorate, use our wedding gifts and really build a life together as newlyweds. It is also going to be a great place for people to come visit us. We plan on having at least a 2 bedroom house or townhome so anyone who visits won't have to stay in a hotel. There is so much to do there and it's going to be an incredible adventure; the good parts and bad.
My Hubby's support has been nothing short of amazing. I have definitely found an incredible person, my best friend and someone who I proudly call my husband. :)

Time for a Change
Well, the air is cooling down at night, sun is going down sooner, football is in full swing......it's fall! Fall is my favorite season, but then again, I say that about every season as soon as it starts. Regardless of where Fall stands on my ranking of seasons I am in the mood for a change. Almost a year ago I made the decision to cut my hair. I mean really cut my hair. I got rid of it all to create an incredibly short pixie cut. Everyone loved it and wanted me to keep it that way, but I couldn't have hated it more. I will never cut my hair that short again! Anyway, I'm no longer bitter about my choice, but it is fall again and now that my hair has grown out from it's atrocious state it's time for another cut.
Even though I can't stand this girl.....I love her short hair cut! I'm pretty sure this is how I'm going to cut it. And to go with the new fall style a darker color is needed. I already have simple, brown hair but I'm looking forward to a rich, chocolate color.
I've never been one to be a blonde. It wouldn't suit me at all but a richer tone I think I would love!! Let's hope this year's big hair decision won't come back to bite me in the butt! :)
Hopefully my new husband will think it is sexy! :) :)
Speaking of my husband..he is at work today. :( It is the first day since he has move to Florida that I have the day to myself. It feels really weird, but I'm excited because I get to be all wifey and have dinner ready when he gets home. I told him earlier in the week that I was going to make dinner and asked what he wanted. He told me he wanted wild rice soup and after I thought about it I had told him that I decided on tacos. He pretended to be okay with it because if I wanted tacos, he would eat tacos. But what he doesn't know if that I am going to make the wild rice soup for him. Of course I'm going to make whatever he wants.....what kind of wife would I be if I didn't make sure my husband was happy.
So he should have nice surprises of wild rice soup and a wife with new sexy hair when he gets home. Hope it all goes as well as I have it in my head!

Mrs. Rodriguez
On Saturday, September 10th, 2011 I made a promise to a man that will last a lifetime. I got married!!! The wedding was absolutely everything I imagined and more. Although it was a little stressful at times and overwhelming the rest of the time, planning was quite the experience. :) A traditional church wedding was not something that we felt fit our personalities and relationship. My new husband and I are a little more liberal and just enjoy being with each other, family and our closest friends. So our wedding was an event of 35 people in the middle of the beach with the ocean only a few feet behind us. It was perfect! :)
I thought that it wasn't possible to be any happier with my life....until I became a wife. Granted it has only been a few days but I know that life's adventures can only be better when shared with someone that I couldn't live without. This is the beginning.....
